Iraks Premier- Iraqi Premier Nuri al-Maliki in an interview with German magazine Der Spiegel (If your German is up to speed) basically agreed with Barack Obama on a 16-month timeline for beginning US troop withdrawals from his country. If Iraqis feel it is now time to lay this out, one has to wonder what McSame and companies logic or motive is for this need of endless occupation?
Brooklyn- My home borough has become so successful in reinventing itself that it is driving out the very drivers of this gentrification. My neighborhood of Williamsburg is the focus of this NYT story, Billyburg seems hellbent at becoming Tribeca East. Hopefully with all the growth, the City of New York will start thinking through more public transport.
